Women’s Team Ends First Season Together

GSSL scoring champion Kristen Kowit and the Jersey Shore Boca women’s open team completed their inaugural season together at the end of June and have set the standard for the future. The Boca women finished with a very respectable overall record of 11-2-5 for the 2007-2008 season including semi-final appearances in both the NJ State Open Cup and the GSSL League Cup. + more

The Jersey Shore Boca U23 women’s team will make their second consecutive appearance in the United States Adult Soccer Association U23 Regional Championships this weekend as they again take their place among the elite teams of the northeast when they travel to the Ukrainian American Sports Center in Horsham, PA for the two day event. + more

Player-coaches Christian Treney and Ryan Applegate have led the Boca men’s open team to an overall record of 18-2-4 during the 2007-2008 season, one of the best ever in club history, which concluded last Sunday at the Manalapan Recreation Complex with a 5-2 win over Sporting Club Portugal from Newark and the capture of the GSSL League Cup title. + more

The Jersey Shore Boca U23 women’s team played the return leg of their home and home Mid-Atlantic Summer Showcase League series against the Den of Lions U23 side on Wednesday night under the lights at Westside Park in Newark with the Boca women coming out on top 3-1. Boca improves to 4-0-2 and moves into first place in the MSSL regular season standings. + more
