BOCA U23s – Mid-Atlantic Summer Showcase League (0-2-0):
The Jersey Shore Boca U23s kicked-off their full 2005 summer soccer Sunday at Ft. Dix. In their first match of the day, Boca dropped a tough 1-0 decision against the NJ Rangers from Denville. Boca keeper John Pluagic kept the U23s in the game the full 90 minutes turning away several scoring opportunities by the Rangers. The Connecticut Strikers topped the U23s 4-0 in the afternoon game.

BOCA U20s – Mid-Atlantic Summer Showcase League (1-1-0):
The U20s also started the 2005 MSSL summer season at Ft. Dix on Sunday. In their first game, Boca and Lehigh United (Allentown, PA) battled to a 0-0 halftime score. The U20s opened the scoring in the second half when Versh Tivzenda slotted in a rebound off the post at about 5 minutes in. Boca scored again 4 minutes later when Casey Zambor found Chris McGreevy on the far side who buried a low shot for Boca’s second tally. After Lehigh converted on a PK, the U20s finished the scoring when Tivzenda also converted a PK for his second goal of the game. In the second game of the day, Milmay FC (NJ) took a 1-0 lead mid-way into the first half when they converted a PK and then put in another in the second half to end the match 2-0. Although Boca out shot Milmay for the game, they could not finish their several scoring opportunities.
