Boca Men Make Historic Appearance In Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup

The Boca men’s open team will add another chapter to the 34-year old club history books as the men of Blue and Gold square-off against the Michigan Bucks of the USL in Pontiac Michigan in the first round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on May 15. Boca becomes the first amateur club from NJ to qualify for the Cup in the modern pro-soccer era. + more

Boca To Hold Tryouts For Youth Teams

The Board of Directors of the Jersey Shore Boca Soccer Club announced today that the club will be holding open tryouts beginning on Friday May 11 for their 2012-2013 boys and girls teams in the Under-10 through Under-15 age groups that will begin play in the fall. All tryouts will be held at the John Patrick Sports Complex in Lakewood. + more

Philadelphia Union Sign Former Boca Keeper

The Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer announced today that the club has signed Toms River native and former Boca standout Chris Konopka to the Union’s roster for the 2012 season. Per club and League policies, the terms of the deal will not be released. A long-time Boca veteran, the keeper was a member of Boca’s youth system, U20 and U23 teams throughout his career as well as a member of Boca’s PDL team in 2003. + more

Boca’s Jensen Signs With Seahawks

Jersey Shore Boca standout Samantha Jensen has signed a National Letter of Intent with Wagner College and will continue her academic and athletic career with the NCAA Division I Seahawks starting in September. Jensen, a four-year member of the Boca Fusion girl's team, will compete for the women’s soccer team as well as the women’s track and field squad at Wagner, a member of the Northeast Conference. + more

It has been common place over the past thirty plus years of Jersey Shore Boca history to see players who have worn the club “Blue and Gold” scattered across the national college landscape excelling for their collegiate teams and in 2011 it will be no different when the NCAA college soccer season kicks-off this month. Hall of Fame Bound

Two former Jersey Shore Boca standouts, Jason Cairns and Gary Lindstra, will be included in the 2011 College of New Jersey Hall of Fame ceremony when their 1996 TCNJ national championship men’s soccer team is enshrined on Friday, October 21 as a Team of Distinction. The Boca hall of fame duo has been a member of numerous JSB youth and adult teams over the years, including the Boca NJ State Cup Championship teams of the mid ‘90s. + more
