Boca Teams In Full Swing For Summer

 Richie Baiata of the Boca U20 team moves around a Pittsgrove defender on his way to goal as the Boca summer soccer program continued in full swing on Sunday in Lakewood. The Boca U23 women defeated the Den of Lions 4-1 while Baiata and the Boca U20 men tied Pittsgrove 2-2 in their opening game of the day and then blasted MCCOM United of North Jersey 5-1 in the afternoon. + more

Boca Announces Tryouts for 2009-2010 Teams

 The Jersey Shore Boca Soccer Club has announced that the Club will be holding open tryouts for their 2009-2010 youth teams. Boca will be holding open tryouts and conducting player evaluations for new boys and girls teams in the Under-8 through Under-18 age groups. Tryouts will begin on Sunday, May 31 for Boca’s new U-8/U-9 girl’s team and will continue over the next several weeks through the end of June for the rest of the age groups. + more

Boca U23 Standout Receives Honors

 Jersey Shore Boca veteran midfielder and U23 standout Mark Schmiegel received a special award at Bucknell University’s annual Senior Athletic Awards Banquet held at the Elaine Langone Center on Tuesday, April 28. The 2005 Toms River North graduate has been a member of the Boca U23 men’s teams for the past several seasons including Boca’s the record setting U23 team of 2006. + more

Boca Alum Named To Monmouth Staff

 Monmouth University head women's soccer coach Krissy Turner has announced the addition of former Jersey Shore Boca player Kenny Masuhr to the Hawks coaching staff. Masuhr, who moves to Monmouth from FDU Florham, was a part of various Boca youth and adult teams during his career including a member of Boca’s U23 team during their inaugural season in the Mid-Atlantic Summer Showcase League. + more

Ocean of Love Benefit – Part II

 Boca alum Mike Konopka along with his band Hometown Roll will again take the stage on April 25 at Bum Rogers Crab House to help raise money for Ocean of Love, a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to helping Ocean County children with cancer. The event starts at 3pm in the afternoon and will feature activities for the entire family. + more

Hall of Fame Bound - NJSA Honors Boca Duo

 The NJSA announced today that two Boca veterans, Walt Pericciouli and Ryan Applegate, will be honored at the Association’s annual awards banquet on April 25. Pericciouli, one of the original founders of Jersey Shore Boca, will be inducted into the NJSA Hall of Fame Class of 2008 while Applegate, coach of the Boca men’s open team, will be honored as the 2007-2008 NJSA Coach of the Year. The festivities will begin at 6:30pm at the L’Affaire Restaurant in Mountainside with cocktails followed by dinner and the awards ceremony. + more
