Boca Player Receives Academic Honors

St. John’s University sophomore forward Angel Rodriguez (Toms River North HS)who played under Boca Coach Al Schwartz in the Boca youth program, was named to the Verizon Academic All-District Division I Men’s Soccer Second Team it was announced today.
St. John’s University sophomore forward Angel Rodriguez (Toms River North HS)who played under Boca Coach Al Schwartz in the Boca youth program, was named to the Verizon Academic All-District Division I Men’s Soccer Second Team it was announced today.
Rodriguez was one of two St. John’s players to be selected to this prestigious academic team.
Rodriguez finished tied for second on the team in scoring with eight goals and two assists for 20 points. His eight goals were tied for the team lead and established a career-high as he started 22 of 23 games for the Red Storm this season. A sports management major, Rodriguez carries a 3.30 grade-point average.
