The Boca U19s will participate in the Super Y-League, the nations top elite youth soccer league this summer under the direction of Coach Wolf Finger.
Jersey Shore Boca will enter five boys teams in the SYL this year; U13s, U14s, U15s, U16s along with the U19s.
All of Boca’s 2005 SYL teams, with the exceptions of the U-19 team, will compete in the historically tough Mid-Atlantic Division in the Northeast Conference.
The Boca U19s will compete in the Metro Division of the Northeast Conference and will face powerhouse teams from The Storm Academy and Metrostars among others, during their twelve game 2005 schedule
They begin their SYL season on June 18th when they host the powerful Ironbound Sporting Club at the Manchester Soccer Complex with a scheduled start at 2pm.
Both the Boca U23 and U20 teams will participate in the Mid-Atlantic Summer Showcase League (MSSL) which will kick-off the first weekend in June.
The Mid-Atlantic Summer Showcase League is a second year regional soccer league fostering high-level competition during the summer months at both the youth and adult ages in which Jersey Shore Boca was an inaugural member last year.
The adult level of MSSL is specifically designed for collegiate players under the age of twenty-three and is fully sanctioned by the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA), the national governing body for adult amateur soccer.
Because of the league’s regional affiliation with the USASA, MSSL is awarded wild-card entries by the USASA into their annual Under-23 and Under-20 Regional Championships.
Steve Ruch and Walt Konopka, both members of the Jersey Shore Boca Board of Directors, will coach the U23 and U20 teams respectively.
Jersey Shore Boca had forty-three club standouts that previously played for Boca on either their Men’s, Super Y-League, Premiere Development League, Club or Youth teams, who participated in NCAA intercollegiate soccer last year for their respective schools.
Boca has been a fixture in the soccer community since 1978 and is one of the most respected soccer clubs on the East Coast.
The Club is celebrating their 27-year anniversary in 2005.
