Boca U17s compete against the best in Raleigh
November 13, 2000
Although the results in the win & loss columns were a disappointment, the Boca U17s competed very well at the First Union Raleigh Shootout this past weekend and accomplished their mission……exposure.
The Boca team squared off against some of the best soccer clubs on the East coast, including the Williamsburg Soccer Club, Beach FC and Chantilly.
The first game of the tournament saw Boca battle to a 3-3 draw against FC Richmond, the 1999 VA State Cup champions.
The U17s gained significant exposure throughout the entire weekend as 300+ men’s college coaches were in attendance during the entire weekend at the Shootout. The U17s will attend two additional recruiting tournaments this fall in Baltimore, MD and Norfolk, VA.
During the spring of 2001, the Boca U17s have been invited to attend the Nomads College Showcase in March and will participate in three other showcase events during the first half of 2001.
