Brick township soccer players Andrew Perez, Justin McGrath and Justin Fuccello made their presence felt in the Jersey Shore Boca men’s soccer summer program in recent games of the Mid-Atlantic Summer Showcase League.

Boca under-20s raised its record to 3-2 with a pair of victories, 3-0 over Voorhees on Sunday, and 5-0 over West Chester United (Pa.) last week, as Perez, named to last fall’s Atlantic 10 Conference All-Rookie team at LaSalle University, scored two goals in each game. Against West Chester, Perez struck for the first one at the 15-minute mark into the near post. McGrath, who is at Seton Hall University, made it 2-0 13 minutes later when he ran onto the ball, beat a defender and fired a shot inside the far post. Perez made it 3-0 10 minutes into the second half off a give-and-go that froze the West Chester keeper.

Meanwhile, the Boca U23 team, coming off a 3-1 loss to Arsenal World Class of New Jersey when Fuccello drew the game even midway through the first half, bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Winslow as Fuccello put in the insurance goal with less than a minute left. Fuccello won a ball from 30 yards, dribbled past a defender, and beat the goalie low and to his right. Boca U23 is 1-4-0.
