Boca women try to reach U-23 nationals
The Jersey Shore Boca Under-23 women’s team will make its second consecutive appearance in the U.S. Adult Soccer Association U-23 Region I championships at the Ukrainian American Sports Center in Horsham, Pa. this weekend.
Boca is one 12 teams that will participate in this year’s regionals with the winner heading to Seattle, Wash. to vie for a spot in the USASA national championships from Aug. 7-10.
Boca will face the Middlepath Jaguars (N.Y.) at 2:30 p.m. and take on the Holmdel Stillettos (N.J.) at 5:30 p.m.
Other U-23 women’s teams include the NJ Power (N.J.), Bethesda SC (Md.), last year’s regional champion and the Delaware U-23 select team.
The semifinals will take place Sunday at 10 a.m. and the finals will kickoff at 2 p.m. the same day.
