Boca Hosts Student Athletes From England

The Jersey Shore Boca Soccer Club in combination with the Berkeley Soccer Association will play host to 24 student athletes and several coaches from the Cheadle Hulme School, England from July 10 to July 12 as part of the school’s 2009 summer soccer tour in the US. Plans include sightseeing time with the Boca host families, joint training sessions with Boca players as well as two matches against Boca teams.

Itinerary includes soccer clinic, friendly matches and sightseeing at the Jersey Shore
BERKELEY TWP (July 10, 2009) – The Jersey Shore Boca Soccer Club in combination with the Berkeley Soccer Association will play host to twenty-four student athletes and several coaches from the Cheadle Hulme School, Cheshire, England from July 10 to July 12 as part of the school’s 2009 summer soccer tour in the United States.
The Cheadle Hulme students and coaches will stay with numerous Jersey Shore Boca families during their three day stay in New Jersey.
In addition to spending some sightseeing time with the Boca host families, the Cheadle Hulme players and coaches will also participate in joint training sessions with Boca players as well as participate in two friendly matches against Boca teams.
The main events for the Cheadle School visit are planned at the Berkeley Soccer Complex (Eastern Blvd) for Sunday July 12 as follows:
10:30am to 11:30am
Soccer clinic held for Berkeley youth players directed by the coaching staff of the Cheadle Hulme School
12:00pm
Friendly match – Boca U15 boys vs. Cheadle Hulme School
2:00pm
Friendly match Boca U17 boys vs. Cheadle Hulme School
The Cheadle School players are coaches are scheduled to depart the Jersey Shore area on Monday July 13.
“We are absolutely delighted to host the players and coaches from the Cheadle School during their stay in New Jersey and to arrange some events for them. Our club historically has always provided unique opportunities for our own players to experience as much about the world-wide game as possible and this is certainly one of those opportunities” mentioned Guy Lockwood, President of Jersey Shore Boca.
“We would like to thank the Cheadle School for allowing us this opportunity to host them as well as the Berkeley Soccer Association for the use of their facilities during the visit to help make this experience successful for everyone” Lockwood finished.
The Cheadle Hulme School is located in Cheshire, England. It is one of the leading co-educational schools in Britain. In 2005 it celebrated the 150th anniversary of its foundation with a series of reunions and special events. From the original pupil body of six ‘orphans and necessitous children’, it has grown to a school of over 1400 pupils and 100 teachers.
