The 2006 MSSL Cup schedules have been finalized as the Boca U23s will face the NJR Golden Hawks on Sunday in a first round MSSL Cup Championship game at the John F. Patrick Sports Complex in Lakewood Township.

Boca (#2) will face the Golden Hawks (#7) in first round Sunday morning

LAKEWOOD, NJ (July 28, 2006) – The 2006 Mid-Atlantic Summer Showcase League Championship Cup men’s schedules and team seeding has been finalized as the Jersey Shore Boca U23 men’s team, seeded #2, will face the Golden Hawks of the NJ Rangers Soccer Club (#7) at 11:15 am this Sunday morning in a first round MSSL Cup Championship game at the John F. Patrick Sports Complex in Lakewood Township, the site of this years MSSL Cup Championship.

The winner will advance to the MSSL Cup semi-final game at 2:00pm with a chance to further compete in the MSSL Cup Championship Final at 5:00pm.

The looser of the Boca-Golden Hawks game will play in a consolation match at 3:30pm.

In addition to Boca and the Golden Hawks, the other men’s first round MSSL Cup men’s games at the John F. Patrick Sports Complex include:

#1 NJ Rangers-Dynamo (NJ) vs. #8 Hillsborough Soccer Club (NJ) – 10:00am
#4 AC Perugia (PA) vs. #5 Milmay FC (NJ) – 10:00am
#3 West Chester United (PA) vs. #6 Jersey Knights (NJ) – 11:15am

Named for former Lakewood School’s Superintendent John Patrick, the 40+ acre complex which opened on April 1st of this year, hosts six soccer fields and four baseball fields, equipped with lighting for night games, ample parking, restrooms, plus a full service concession stand which will be fully open for business during the MSSL Cups.

MSSL is a third year regional soccer league featuring some of the most competitive soccer clubs and elite soccer teams from NJ, NY, PA, CT, DE and MD in which Jersey Shore Boca is a founding member.

The league fosters high-level competition during the summer months at both the youth and adult ages in both men’s and women’s divisions.

The adult level of MSSL is specifically designed for collegiate players under the age of twenty-three and is fully sanctioned by the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA), the national governing body for adult amateur soccer.

The Jersey Shore Boca men’s U23 team, which finished the regular 2006 MSSL season with a record of 10-1-1, is officially sponsored by Surf Taco, a popular Mexican themed restaurant chain with locations throughout the jersey shore.

Boca has been a fixture in the soccer community since 1978 and is one of the most respected soccer clubs on the East Coast.

The Club is celebrating their 28-year anniversary in 2006.
